ABOUT ME

 

Hiya, I’m Kim!

I'm a freelance artist from Australia specialising in fantasy illustration, however I love to create art in many styles and genres. If you're in need of a cover, character art or other bookish illustrations, I'd love to work with you!

 

Like many artists, I began my creative journey in childhood—hosting very professional “drawing classes” for my friends at lunchtime and generally finding any excuse to draw (mostly horses and dragons I’ll admit).

 

But I lost my way with creativity during my school years, believing in the age old lie that art cannot be a “real job”. Thankfully I salvaged my little artist heart by allowing myself to pursue art later on.

But it wasn’t until an amazing author reached out to me about designing her debut novel cover that I asked myself—why not combine my life long obsession with books with my love for art??

I absolutely fell in love with book cover design from this, hence the decision to re-invent myself as an illustrator of all things bookish and fantastical.
